I preach love and peace, but not responsible for acts of my followers: Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Insan

Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Insan says he should not be held responsible for any act of his followers if any action is taken against him. Speaking to CNN-IBN, the godman-turned-actor said that though he preaches love, he cannot control his followers who he claimed numbered over 5.5 crore.

"In a joint family, people can't manage even their children...how will we when we have over 5.5 crore followers. I always preach my followers to live with peace and love, but don't know how they will react if anything happens," said the godman.

Responding to a question on the charges against him, the Dera chief said that both CBI as well as police had visited his ashram but could not find anything against him.

Talking about his film MSG 2, which is set to hit the theatres this week, the godman-turned-actor said that though he may not appear like a hero, people should watch his film to see the message in it.

According to the Dera chief, his larger than life image is portrayed through video recordings to motivate the youth. "I get myself filmed doing different things to motivate the youth to not sit idle and instead, use their energy in different things."
