Ahead of the BJP Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi's public meeting in Jamshedpur on Thursday, Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Prajatantrik) (JVM) workers sat on fast alleging BJP fielded 'tainted candidate' from Jamshedpur Lok Sabha seat.
Led by JVM sitting MP-cum-party candidate from the seat, Dr Ajay Kumar and the party s central committee Secretary Abhay Singh, over hundred of party workers sat on fast under the bust of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose at Aam Bagan, Sakchi, about 1.5 kms from Gopal Maidan, Bistupur where Modi was scheduled to address the meeting in favour of party candidate Bidyut Baran Mahato.
An MLA from Baharagora constituency, Mahato has recently crossed over to BJP from JMM to contest the ensuing poll.
Kumar claimed they were in possession of a CD containing conversation of Mahato pertaining to some developments in the 2010 biennial election in the state.
The district administration has made elaborate security arrangement for the public meeting to be addressed by Modi.
