BANGALORE: To keep visitors far from stress while they wait for reports, the authorities of Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research have started library inside hospital premises.The library, open to public from Thursday, has more than 5,000 books. Speaking after inauguration, Dr C N Manjunath, director, Jayadeva Institute said that patients, both in-patients and out-patients, and those who accompany the patients can make use of the facility. The books are largely based on Medicine, Kannada literature and others.Thamanna Gowda R G, 73 years, a retired government school teacher, said, “I was tensed while waiting for my ECG report. To kill my fears, I took a book in hand. It diverts our mind.” Noted writer Baraguru Ramachandrappa, Mayor Sharadamma, K G Venkatesh, director, Department of Public Libraries, Jayanagar East Councilor Muni Sanjeviah were present.
