Around Rs 4,000 was stolen from the hundi collections of Mahadevar temple, Pippinmoodu here.
The theft is believed to have happened on the intervening night of Friday and Saturday. The police said that the thieves who broke into the temple took three offering boxes and robbed the money after destroying two of them.
