Eighteen police officers and other personnel were today felicitated by Rajasthan Governor Margaret Alva on Republic Day function here amid tight security arrangements.
ADG-ATS Dr Alok Tripathi and Sub Inspector (Traffic) Ramakant Sharma were awarded President's Police medal whereas IPS officers Vishan Bansal and Rohit Mahajan, RPS officers Pahad Singh, Ram Singh and Lalit, Sub-Inspectors Hanuman Singh and Munna Lal were awarded Police Medals for distinguished services.
ASI Devendra Singh, Bhanwar Singh, Balwant Singh, Head Constables Kan Singh, Kishore Singh, Shrawan Singh and Hawa Singh, and Constables Bhuri Lal and Jaikishan were also awarded Police Medals.
Eight other government employees were also awarded meritorious certificates.
After the award distribution, over 1000 school students and 150 folk artists enthralled people in the stadium with their colourful dance performances.
Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje was also present in the function.
