The ace action director of Malayalam cinema, Shaji Kailas, had never ever attempted a movie that gave importance to heroines. In his two decade old career he has always been creating superheroes and stylish action thrillers boosting the fanship of respective stars.
The over-projections of the heroes through the films had even gave an image of 'male chauvenists' to the director and writer Renji Panicker who had created some negative characterizations for their women artists.
Anyhow, the duo seems to be thinking in a different way now. Shaji and Renji Panicker after their recent debacle 'King and the Commissioner' is planning to unite once again, but this time they will be getting together for a movie with a female oriented subject, that will deal more with the heroics of the female protagonist. Tentatively titled as 'Pennu', Renji is currently busy writing the scripts for the movie. It is also reported that the crew is planning to bring in big stars like Vidhya Balan to lead the movie, which will be on sets in six months.
