While two confessions were made in connection with the murder case on Thursday, the motive of the killing could not be ascertained by the investigators.

The pieces of the sensational Sheena Bora murder mystery may soon be falling into place. While two confessions were made in connection with the murder case on Thursday, the motive of the killing could not be ascertained by the investigators.

While the driver of TV tycoon Peter Mukerjea's wife Indrani, the prime accused in the case, spilled the beans on the modus operandi of the crime, her ex-husband Sanjeev Khanna stopped short of confessing to the crime.

Nailing Indrani and her ex-husband Sanjeev Khanna, the driver, Shyam Rai, has given the account of the cold-blooded murder.

According to the statement of the driver, Indrani went for a reccee on April 23, 2012 along with him in Gagode village near Khopli Pen road in Mumbai where she planned to dump Sheena's body after killing her.

Following this, she gave a call to her ex-husband Sanjeev Khanna.

The next day, on April 24, Indrani booked a room at Worli hill top hotel in Mumbai as Sanjeev arrived from Kolkata after the phone call.

The duo picked up Indrani's daughter Sheena at around 7 pm the same day from near National College at Linking Road in Bandra.

Sheena was allegedly strangulated inside the car by Indrani and Sanjeev, and body was dumped inside a bag, which was put at the back of the car.

Later, the bag was allegedly set on fire at around 4 am on April 25. Sanjeev returned to Kolkata after disposing off Sheena's body.

However, Sanjeev Khanna reportedly told the police that he was inside the car in which Sheena was murdered, but did not confess to the killing. This was confirmed by public prosecutor Shorin Ghaushal.

The police, meanwhile, got the permission to bring him to Mumbai with a Kolkata court granting the transit remand.

The police on Thursday also questioned Sheena Bora's brother Mikhail Bora, who said that he had answered all questions by investigators and might be called again for further questioning. Mikhail added that he did not submit any document to the police. Notably, he had claimed to have in his possession some photographs and documents against Indrani and Peter Mukerjea.

Earlier in the day, sources had said that Indrani had plans to murder her son Mikhail also. She had reportedly asked him to come to Kolkata, but he had refused.

The plot to kill Mikhail was deduced by police while they were questioning Sanjeev Khanna, Indrani's previous husband and second accused in the case.

Confirming the same, Mikhail had said, "She asked me to come to Kolkata but I denied. She told she'll take care of my grandparents and I should move to Kolkata where she will get me a job and help me settle there, but my instinct told me not to and I denied.

She threatened of cutting out funds for my grandparents if I did not comply."

Amid these developments, Peter and Indrani's son Rahul Mukerjea was also questioned at Khar police station in Mumbai. Rahul was the last person to meet Sheena on April 24, 2012.

According to Rahul, she left in a hurry to meet her mother that day. He also claimed to have received a text from Sheena's mobile two days later, saying she wants to end the relationship. He added that repeated attempts to contact Sheena had failed.
