SRIKAKULAM: The high command of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) on Tuesday announced Simma Somibabu, son of former vice-chairman of zilla parishad S Rami Naidu as candidate for Narasannapeta constituency in the district. Earlier, the Congress party had announced its candidate here as Dharmana Ramadas, brother of Roads and Buildings minister, D Prasada Rao.The YSR Congress announced its candidate as Dharmana Krishna Das, the first Congress leader who jumped into the YSR Congress bandwagon from Srikakulam district.When both Congress and YSR Congress have geared up for their campaign, the TDP has been spending precious time searching for the ideal candidate for Narasannapeta.The two rival candidates are from the Dharmana family. When TDP politburo member K Yerran Naidu’s brother K Atchen Naidu clarified he would not contest from Narasannapeta, the TDP confirmed its fresh candidate on Tuesday.
