Talwars rightly accused in Aarushi case: CBI
The CBI filed an affidavit in the Supreme Court on the sensational murder case.

New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Thursday filed an affidavit in the Supreme Court in the sensational Aarushi Talwar-Hemraj murder case. In the affidavit the investigating agency claimed that making Aarushi's parents - Dr Rajesh Talwar and Dr Nupur Talwar - in the murder case is correct.

Saying that the issuance of bailable warrants against the Talwars is correct, the CBUI said that Allahabad High Court order dismissing the petition of Aarushi's parents seeking exemption from appearance was well reasoned.

"The petition of the Talwars should be dismissed and heavy cost should be imposed on them," the CBI said.

Pointing out that the trial court is at the stage of framing of the charges in the murder case, the CBI said that its final report in the case was a opinion of the investigation officer.

The Supreme Court will take up the matter on Monday (April 25).

The Allahabad High Court had on March 18, 2011 upheld a Ghaziabad court's verdict and cleared the way for the trial of Talwars in the Aarushi-Hemraj double murder case.

The special CBI court in Ghaziabad had directed the investigating agency to charge Rajesh and Nupur with murder and criminal conspiracy in the killing of their teenage daughter and servant.

Both of them have been charged under Sections 302 (murder), 201 (destruction of evidence) and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) of the Indian Penal Code in the double murder case.

Rejecting Aarushi's mother Nupur Talwar's petition, the High Court approved the CBI's stand that the Talwars are the prime suspects in the double murder case.

Rajesh and Nupur will stand trial for the murder of their teenage daughter Aarushi and domestic help Hemraj.

On May 16, 2008, 14-year-old Aarushi Talwar was found dead in her Noida home. The suspicion immediately fell on Talwar's servant Hemraj. But Hemraj was found dead the next day.
