Brussels: Two Jet Airways cabin crew members were injured in the bomb explosions at the Brussels airport on Tuesday morning.

One of the injured women in a picture that has been circulated on social media is an in-flight attendant of Jet Airways, Ministry of External Affairs confirmed.

A Jet Airways official spokesperson in Mumbai confirmed there was no damage any of its Airbus A330 aircraft at the airport. The explosions took place around 8 am near the check-in counters of the departures area which was full of passengers leaving for various destinations across the World.

Brussels is Jet Airways' hub in Europe. Everyday two aircraft fly into Brussels from Mumbai and Delhi and go onward to Newark and Toronto. The same pattern is followed in the return leg, says Business Standard newspaper.

Jet Airways flights from India, US and Canada had arrived in Brussels between 7.20 to 8.30 am and were scheduled to depart on same routes at around 10.15 am when the blasts took place.

Jet Airways informed that their following flights were cancelled: 1) Flights from Brussels to Newark,Toronto, Mumbai and Delhi 2) Flights from Newark and Toronto to Brussels 3) Flights from Mumbai and Delhi to Brussels.

Jet Airways is shifting its European hub from Brussels to Amsterdam from April 1. This was decided in January and nothing to do with the bomb blasts. This is Jet Airways’ last week in Brussels.

An airline spokesperson later said its passengers and staff at Brussels airport have been moved away from the terminal while the transit passengers who were in the terminal building have been shifted to hangers in coaches.

"Our Brussels staff is coordinating with airport authorities and security agencies to arrange immigration formalities as soon as possible to move the transit guests out of the airport," the spokesperson in a statement.

"Safety of guests and staff is our prime concern," he added.
