The Italians whitewashed the United States 4-0 in last year's final in Calabria, Italy.
New York: Serena and Venus Williams have committed to play for the United States in the Fed Cup final against Italy in November, the USTA said on Thursday.
The Williams sisters will join Melanie Oudin, Bethanie Mattek-Sands and the world's top-ranked doubles player, Liezel Huber, in the best-of-five match series from November 6-7 in San Diego.
"As captain, you always want to have your best players. I am very excited that Venus and Serena have made themselves available for the Fed Cup final in San Diego," US Fed Cup Captain Mary Joe Fernandez said in a statement.
"I strongly believe that this team can win the Fed Cup title on our home soil."
