New Delhi: New Delhi: India's fastest man on wheels Narain Karthikeyan has won the A1GP in China.
Narain, racing in the Zhuhai International Circuit for Team India, zipped to his team's first A1GP victory in China by winning the Feature Race on Sunday.
Having lost his status as Williams test driver after the Formula One team jettisoned him earlier this week, Karthikeyan took the circuit by storm and raced to the chequered flag, quelling late charge from New Zealand and South Africa.
It was a closely fought race that the Indian driver won by just 0.5 seconds. India thus became the 14th nation to take a win in A1GP.
Narain was the first Indian driver in the elite Formula One and what makes this performance even more satisfying is the fact that the car is not the fastest among the others in the grid.
