Ananya Panday’s acting graph has been truly impressive over the last few years. Basking in love for her web series Call Me Bae, the actress recently appeared on Farah Khan’s YouTube vlog, revealing one of her hidden skills – cooking. Ananya, in the 15-minute video, is seen cooking chicken fried rice for her family. What caught our attention was her banter with her father Chunky Panday that left us in awe during the vlog.
The vlog saw Farah Khan teaching Ananya Panday how to prepare the delectable non-veg meal using her home recipe. The choreographer cum filmmaker had visited the actress’ home in Mumbai for her food vlog where she was also joined by her cook Dilip. Before the cooking session begins, Ananya humbly confesses her culinary expertise saying that she can cook maggi, tea and eggs. However, for the vlog, she made chicken fried rice, which was an absolute hit with the family. In the video, Ananya’s mother Bhavana Pandey and her grandmother also made a delightful appearance.
Surprised by the result, Chunky Panday jokingly tells his daughter Ananya to cook for them every day. Not one to back down, the actress immediately responds, “I will cook, if you pay me for it. Let’s discuss the pagaar (salary) first." The funny exchange between father and daughter gave fans a moment of delight as they got a glimpse of the camaraderie and bond between the Panday family.
After having gained recognition in the industry with her notable performances in films like Kho Gaye Hum Kahan and Gehraiyaan, Ananya Panday recently made her web series debut. Her show Call Me Bae has been creating a buzz ever since its release. The comedy-drama series, co-written by Ishita Moitra, Samina Motlekar and Rohit Nair is available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video. Further, it is directed by Colin D’Cunha. Apart from Ananya, the show also features Muskkaan Jaferi, Gurfateh Pirzada, Niharika Lyra Dutt, Varun Sood, Vihaan Samat, Vir Das, Mini Mathur, Riya Sen, Sayani Gupta and others in lead roles. It is co-produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta and Somen Mishra under Dharmatic Entertainment.
Next up for her is Vikramaditya Motwane’s thriller titled CTRL. The film will see her sharing screen space with Devika Vatsa, Kamakshi Bhat, Suchita Trivedi, Samit Gambhir, Ravish Desai and Aparshakti Khurana. It is slated to release on Netflix on October 4.
