In the second edition of IBNLive Movie Awards, we select nominees in various popular categories and allow our readers decide the outcome. Take our poll to vote and choose your favourite film and performers of 2014.

Here are the nominees in Best Film category:

Haider: Using Shakespeare's classic Hamlet's plotline for a film is as difficult as doing justice to it. But filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj was both convincing and striking in depicting Kashmir in a manner the viewers had never seen before. The film stayed with the viewers also because of the commendable performances by Shahid Kapoor and Tabu.

PK: The film which aroused everybody's interest with Aamir Khan going nude for the first look, managed to grab everyone's attention for using a far more serious subject. The viewers both appreciated and condemned the film for questioning superstitions in a nation where religion enjoys huge significance in our lives.

Ugly: What gives filmmaker Anurag Kashyap an edge over his competitors is the ability to make even a dark thriller like 'Ugly' find several takers. Set in Mumbai, the film saw memorable performances by Ronit Roy and Vineet Kumar Singh. Usage of visual motifs, political innuendos and a strong script made Ugly a must watch.

Queen: It was simple, real and just so unforgettable. Vikas Bahl's 'Queen' had all the ingredient of a mainstream commercial film. But what left an impact on the viewers was the naivety, vulnerability of the character Kangana played and the feminist spin to the story.

Ankhon Dekhi: There aren't too many films that have characters that make us think and leave us in splits. Rajat Kapoor's narrative, along with an ensemble cast left an impact on the viewers.
