The Bar Council of India (BCI) has extended the application correction window for the All India Bar Examination (AIBE) XVIII (18) 2023 to October 15. Candidates who have applied for the AIBE 18 can edit the required changes on their application form by visiting the official website of the BCI at allindiabarexamination.com. Earlier, the last date for application correction was October 10.

According to the schedule, the BCI will release the admit cards on October 20. The examination is scheduled to be conducted on October 29. The online application process for the AIBE 18 exam began on August 16. The online registration process concluded on October 9. Earlier, the last date to apply for the AIBE 18 was September 30 but it was later extended to October 9. The exam is conducted by the council for awarding eligible candidates the Certificate of Practice (COP) for practising law in an Indian court.

AIBE 18: How to Edit Application Form

Step 1: Visit the official portal of All India Bar Examination at allindiabarexamination.com

Step 2: On the homepage, click on the AIBE 18 application correction window link

Step 3: As a new page opens, enter the required details and log in

Step 4: Make the required changes in the application form

Step 5: Upload the essential documents

Step 6: Pay the examination fee

Step 7: Cross-check all the details before submitting the AIBE 18 form

Step 8: Save and download the form for further use.

The BCI has raised the pass percentage for general category candidates from 40 per cent to 45 per cent for AIBE 18. The pass percentage for applicants from the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Disabilities (PWD) has also been increased to 40 per cent from the earlier 35 per cent. As per the exam pattern of AIBE, there were 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQ). The exam will be held for a duration of 3 hours and 30 minutes. In addition, candidates must record their chosen responses on the given OMR form.
