Bharatiya Janata Party candidate from Patna Saheb Shatrughan Sinha's fate has been sealed by the electorate. Sinha's main opponent is another actor and Congress candidate Shekhar Suman. CNN-IBN caught up with the Bihari Babu and his family on polling day in Patna.
CNN-IBN: On this D-Day what comes to your mind?
Shatrughan Sinha: It comes to my mind that a lot more has to be done. It is a sense of responsibility and people's expectations from me. The way I have seen them blessing me, supporting me... it has been hysterical; it has been euphoric and makes me feel very good. I am very touched, moved by their gesture, their support. But at the same time it is puts tremendous sense of responsibility into me. The kind of expectation they have; I hope, wish and pray that after this I am able to live up to their expectations.
CNN-IBN: What's the kind of role that you have played in his campaign?
Poonam Sinha: Well, I have campaigned for him and I being his better half it is a duty to share what your husband is doing.
Shatrughan Sinha: Some people are saying that she is not the better half but she is the best half.
CNN-IBN: You all have seen you father first as a film superstar... now in the political territory. What do you see the difference between the two, between Bollywood and politics?
Shatrughan Sinha's son Luv: I will tell you what's common between both. He is just as determined and hard working a he was as an actor. Now that he is a politician, I would say he has become more determined and hard working.
CNN-IBN: Shatrughanji many years back I remember outside Parliament when cricket was a big story and Indian coach Greg Chappell was almost on the verge of being sacked, we had come to you and you had given a great dialogue. You had said khamosh Chappell (Chappell keep quite). Who should keep quite now?
Shatrughan Sinha: Today every one is quite. The voice of the people is so strong that everyone is quite.
