If you’re aspiring to prepare for the UPSC Civil Services Examination, but are concerned about the financial burden of coaching, there’s good news. Assam govt has introduced a new initiative called the Pratibha Protsahan Yojana for the year 2024-25. This scheme is designed to offer financial support and top-notch coaching to deserving candidates from Assam, who wish to pursue their civil services dreams. The initiative is being implemented in partnership with the Pavan Chintan Dhara Ashram and the Arya Pratibha Vikas Sansthan, both of which are dedicated to nurturing talent. Through this collaboration, the scheme aims to make high-quality education and guidance accessible to those who are determined to succeed but lack the resources to afford traditional coaching.
Candidates who wish to apply can do so online via the Gappy Assam portal between September 27 and October 6, 2024. After the application process, a screening test will be held on October 20 to assess the eligibility of the applicants. The results of the screening test are scheduled to be announced on October 27.
Following the selection process, the coaching program will officially commence on November 18. This structured training will provide participants with the necessary resources and expert guidance to help them prepare effectively for the UPSC examination. With this initiative, the aim is to ensure that financial constraints do not become a barrier for talented individuals seeking to achieve their career goals in civil services.
Under this initiative, a total of 500 candidates will receive online coaching, providing them with comprehensive virtual guidance for the UPSC Civil Services Examination. Additionally, 10 exceptionally talented candidates will be selected for in-person coaching, which will take place in the Delhi-NCR region. This personalised coaching will be fully sponsored by the Pavan Chintan Dhara Ashram, ensuring that these candidates also benefit from dedicated mentorship throughout their preparation.
Two standout candidates will receive special one-on-one mentorship from the Arya Pratibha Vikas Sansthan, along with additional support from Raj Bhavan. This exclusive mentorship aims to give these candidates focused attention and guidance to further enhance their chances of success in the civil services exam. Through these varied levels of assistance, the scheme seeks to nurture talent and provide equal opportunities for success, regardless of financial limitations.
How to get the free coaching:
The selection process for this scheme will be carried out through the All Assam Talent Search Examination. Candidates who pass the initial screening will be invited for group counselling and a personal interview as part of the final selection. This entire process will take place exclusively in Guwahati. Admit cards for the exam will be sent to the shortlisted candidates via email, with no physical copies being issued.
Facilities in the coaching scheme:
The scholarship will fully cover the costs of coaching, accommodation, and meals, while candidates will need to manage their personal expenses on their own. A total of 5,000 candidates from the cities of Guwahati, Jorhat, Silchar, and Bongaigaon in Assam will be selected based on the results of the screening test.
Any disputes arising in connection with the scheme will be addressed and resolved by Raj Bhavan. For further details about the scholarship or the scheme, candidates are encouraged to reach out via the official email at [email protected].
