BANGALORE: International Institute of Business Studies (IIBS), recently organised ‘Surface 2011’. More than 400 MBA and undergraduate students showcased their talent through various activities.‘Surface’ was launched in 2010, with the objective of promoting competitive spirit, brotherhood, equality, leadership and team building and to be a platform for students to bring out their hidden talent in a team atmosphere through participation in stage performances.‘Surface 2011’ started off with a speech addressed by the chairman of IIBS Dr Jay Prakash who wished the entire lot of freshers’ best of luck and congratulated them for organising this event on their own and participating in different programmes.Then stage was taken over by MCs, who masterminded the entire function with participation of more than 180 students involving in various programmes like solo & group dance and songs, culminating with a fashion show wherein the students walked the ramp. “Surface is yet another innovative initiative by IIBS to supplement its excellent academic curriculum with activity based learning to groom its students into well-rounded personalities,” said Dr Prakash. The event ended with the prize distribution by Dr Prakash and directors Dr K Ramadas & Dr Mrinmoy Biswas.
