Bangalore: It's not even been two days since the terror attack at the Indian Institute of Sciences in Bangalore and the city has recieved another threat.
Newspaper offices in Bangalore received a fax late on Thursday night claiming there were six jehadis in the city, two of whom were human bombs.
According to the letter, the human bombs – Sarla and Hanif – would target the Chief Minister Dharam Singh's house.
The letter also warned of a bomb blast at Hotel Ashoka on New Year's eve, and claimed that these attacks would be executed very systematically.
The fax was addressed to the Commissioner of Police and bore the signature 'Moinuddin'.
The police still haven't received a copy of the fax yet and the Police Chief has said that he will take a call only when the letter reaches him.
But the administration is not taking any chances after IISc shootout. The state police is on a high alert and all the city’s exit points are being manned. There are almost seven battalions deployed across the city.
Following the Bangalore terror attack on Wednesday night, Andhra Pradesh Police has declared a high alert across the state.
The state police took the decision after a high level meeting at the state Secretariat on Thursday evening. The police is providing a special security cover to the hi-tech city where most of the IT companies are housed.
Armed reserves are also being deployed at all control rooms across the state, ready to be rushed anywhere, if needed.
