LPG cylinder shortage to be solved soon

District Collector P I Sheik Pareeth on Saturday announced that the LPG cylinder shortage in the city will be solved within a week.

 He informed that 20 bullet tanker loads have been arrived from the Chennai Indian Oil Corporation ( IOC) p l ant t o the Udayamperoor IOC plant on Saturday evening.

 He also said that in an attempt to solve the dearth of LPG cylinders, the plant will be functioning on Sunday.

 If people have any complaints related to the gas cylinder supply of the agencies, they can directly register the complaints in Collectorate by dialling 0484 2423513 and 2427433.

 The collector said that the district administration is trying to improve the gas cylinder supply in the district.

 For instance, though the gas cylinder distribution is 13473 on October 3, it has been gradually increased to 15035 on October 3, 16761 on October 4 and 54831 on October 5.

 Meanwhile, There were long queues in front of the IOC gas agencies on Saturday as the home delivery of the gas cylinders was cancelled by the gas agencies.

 People had to wait for hours in-front of the agencies for the gas cylinders.
