A woman was severely injured after she was mowed down by a speeding car on a busy street in Hyderabad. The accident, captured on surveillance camera, took place on Sunday.
As per the footage, the pedestrian walking along the road was rammed by a speeding black car from behind, flinging her into the air.

According to sources, the incident took place in Vanasthalipuram area of Hyderabad where a 21-year-old woman was hit by a by a speeding car which left her severely injured. The car hit her with such force that she was thrown several feet away. The people passing by gathered to rescue the victim lying on the road.
Following the incident, the driver of the car fled the scene. The victim sustained serious injuries and is currently receiving treatment in the hospital. Her condition is said to be stable.
The police have registered a case in the hit-and-run case, and have launched an investigation. The car involved in the accident has been identified and the accused driver has been arrested.
Earlier, a 10-year-old girl was killed in Hyderabad after a scooter she was riding on pillion was struck by a truck. The incident, occurred in the Habsiguda area, was captured on CCTV.
The victim, Kameshwari, a class 6 student, was returning home from school with her mother, and younger brother. The accident occurred when a truck coming from the Uppal area hit the scooter the girl was travelling in.
