THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: When he is not on the top of an electric post, Anil Kuriyathi, a KSEB employee, is a native of the virtual world, where he fine tunes the creative sparks in many netizens. The online poetry portal that he runs, ‘Sruthilayam’, is a meeting place of many creative minds like him. On Sunday, the man added another feather to his cap - an audio CD of his poems.The CD - ‘Daliya’ - has been brought out by East Coast and was released by CPM leader Kodiyeri Balakrishnan at a function held at Press Club here. The poems have been turned into songs by Vijay Karun, who has also sung in the album. He has been accompanied by Lakshmi G in vocals. ‘Daliya’ has a total of five poems by Anil and deal with love and revolution.Anil’s first poetry collection was ‘Sakhshayillatha vathil’ and his numerous poems have been posted on the site ‘sruthilayam.net.’ "When this opportunity came along, I thought that it would be nice to have my poems in musical form. Music enhances the lyrical quality,’’ he says. His friends, both online and offline, have been forcing him to take his poems to more people, Anil adds.
