Expressing concern over mobile signal spillover from Pakistan in the border areas of Western Rajasthan, district Superintendent of Police on Wednesday wrote to the Collector seeking ban on the use of Pakistani SIM card in Bikaner.
SP Santosh Tukaram told PTI that signals from mobile tower erected in Pakistan were being detected 4-5 km inside Indian territory which raises possibilities of the network being used by anti-national elements.
Use of Pakistani SIM is banned for the same reason in Barmer and Ganganagar under section 144 of CrPC. Bikaner District administration would soon take a decision on this, sources said.
