New Delhi: Along with the Android Lollipop OS release, Google has unveiled three new devices - the larger Nexus 6 smartphone built in partnership with Motorola, the 8.9-inch Nexus 9 tablet in association with HTC and the Asus-made Nexus Player streaming and gaming device.
One of the highlights of the new Nexus 6 smartphone is its 3220 mAh battery and also its turbo charging capability. According to Google, the Turbo Charger that comes with the Nexus 6 can give users up to six hours of use with only 15 minutes of charge.
Motorola's Turbo Charger is also expected to come with the upcoming Motorola Droid Turbo, on which, according to reports the Turbo Charger can give up to 8 hours of use on a 15-minute charge.
According to Google, the six-hour extra usage is dependent on how much the battery is drained. Google says that the battery must be substantially depleted as charging rate slows as charging progresses.
The six-hour usage claim is approximate and based on an average mixed use profile developed and tested by Motorola.
Actual battery performance will vary and depends on many factors including signal strength, network configuration, age of battery, operating temperature, features selected, device settings, and voice, data, and other application usage patterns.
