Two students drown in dam while swimming

Two school students who went for a swim in a dam on Monday were drowned in Hazaribagh district, the police said.

Visesh Kumar and Sashan Shekhar, both 15-years-old, went to the dam at Katkumdag block of the district when Kumar was caught in the swirling water, Officer-in-Charge of Pelawal Police Station V Kerketta said.

Shekhar tried to rescue his friend, but both of them got drowned, he added.

The bodies were fished out and sent for post mortem.

Both were students of class X of different schools.
