BANGALORE: Clearly, not all is well with the ‘King of Good times’, the Kingfisher Airlines. The company may be in denial, but lowering of flying hours of most of its pilots paints another picture. Pilots working with the airline expressed apprehension over the issue.“We have seen many of our colleagues quit, but the company has also been hiring new pilots,” a pilot with the airline said on condition of anonymity. He said that the regular flying hours of many pilots have been reduced by 30-40 per cent.“On average, we used to fly about 80 hours per month and about 20 hours per week,” he said, adding that these numbers have been reduced to a large extent. Also, many with the airline have been put into various training workshops, and are hence not flying often.
