Bollywood stars Salman Khan, John Abraham, and Shraddha Kapoor were among the many social media users who backed ‘#ExploreIndianIslands.’ The hashtag began trending on X, previously known as Twitter after Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Lakshadweep Islands last week. He was in the picturesque destination to inaugurate the Kochi-Lakshadweep Islands Submarine Optical Fiber Connection and lay the foundation stone for the renovation of the primary healthcare facility and five model Anganwadi centres.
During his visit, PM Modi went snorkeling and enjoyed a break by the beach. A couple of days after his photos went viral, the hashtag ‘#ExploreIndianIslands’ began to trend on social media. John Abraham participated in the trend and shared a series of photos from Lakshadweep and urged fans to visit the Indian island. “With the amazing Indian hospitality, the idea of “Atithi Devo Bhava” and a vast marine life to explore. Lakshwadeep is the place to go. #exploreindianislands,” he wrote.
