Indian cinema enjoys a massive fan following, not just in India but even abroad, among popular celebrities. Legendary Australian cricketer David Warner is one such figure who has repeatedly displayed his admiration for the films and songs. From being a fervent follower of Allu Arjun’s Pushpa to his love for Indian culture, Warner has delighted his fans here in India innumerable times. Doing it once again, the Aussie batter was recently seen channelling his inner Pushpa Raj, even delivering dialogues in Hindi. In a latest commercial, Warner can be seen giving a fun twist to Allu Arjun’s popular dialogue as he says, “David naam sunn ke tourist samjhe kya, mate? Fire hai mein.” He even went on to do Allu Arjun’s iconic hand gesture.
While fans were clearly blown away by David Warner’s Hindi-speaking skills and imitation of Pushpa Raj, Telugu superstar Allu Arjun also reacted to the ad. He commented on the Instagram post with laughing, fire, and thumbs-up emojis.
A few weeks ago, David Warner expressed his admiration for the character. Soon after the first song from Pushpa: The Rule came out, Warner reacted to Allu Arjun’s Instagram post and wrote, “Oh dear, how good is this. Now I’ve got some work to do Allu Arjun.” To this, the actor, in a quick response, said that he would love to teach him some steps when they meet.
Notably, David Warner has always been a fan of Pushpa. From bringing out Allu Arjun’s Thaggedele on the field to recreating the hookstep of Srivalli, the southpaw has often exhibited the filmy style of his multiple times. Warner is currently representing the Australian cricket team in the ongoing edition of the T20 World Cup 2024, co-hosted by the USA and West Indies.
