The Union Public Service Commission released the UPSC Mains final result just last week. This examination quite has the reputation of being one of the most prestigious and difficult ones in the country. Keeping that in mind, one might expect that the people who have qualified, must not only be extra intelligent but might not have free time to have any kind of fun during their preparation period. However, it looks like this mold is about to break now. Animesh Pradhan, the UPSC second rank holder this year, seems to be a wearer of many hats. Recently, his old dance video has been creating a buzz on social media. The video, where he shows his dancing skills to a lively song, has gone viral.
Pradhan himself reposted the video on his social media handle on X (formally known as Twitter) after it gained popularity. Pradhan wrote, “Some People are making my dance video viral on social media. Some enjoyment,” alongside the video.
In the footage, he is seen wearing a shirt and a pair of shorts, dancing energetically. The video was shared just a day ago but has already garnered about 1.4 lakh views. It has also received a range of comments from users.

X users had various reactions to the video. One user commented, “Actually, they are pushing you to make a YouTube channel.” Another praised him, saying, “You are a star, Animesh. Congratulations. Stay blessed.” Yet another user congratulated him, saying, “Congratulations IAS sir. Very nice dance performance.” One user even appreciated his choice of clothing, saying, “I’m more in awe of the colour combo of shirt and pants.”
Animesh Pradhan achieved All India Rank 2 in the UPSC Civil Services exam 2023. He completed his B Tech in Computer Science from NIT Rourkela and also joined Indian Oil Corporation as an information systems officer.
After his results came out, he reportedly expressed a strong desire to serve his home state, especially the marginalised and those in backward areas. His ultimate aim is to join the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and use his position to bring about positive change at the grassroots level.
