KOZHIKODE: T K Raj Mohan, Kozhikode Rural SP, has issued lookout circulars against 12 accused in the murder of RMP leader TP Chandrasekharan, including the main accused Rafeek and Kodi Suni. The lookout notices with personal details of the accused were issued in all major airports in the country to prevent their escape, said sources with police.As part of the investigation, massive raids are going on in CPM strongholds such as Chokli and Valayam to nab the culprits. There are reports that the police have taken two more persons into custody.The CPM state leadership on Friday commenced emergency meetings from branch level to the district committees in the backdrop of the allegations of the party’s involvement in the killing. Koyilandi area and local committee meetings were conducted on Friday to explain the stance of the party. State secretary Pinarayi Vijayan will attend the meetings to be held in Kozhikode and Vadakara.According to sources, the party decided to defend its leaders against the allegations levelled.However, K K Madhavan, father-in-law of the slain leader TP Chandrasekharan and an area committee member of CPM, said that Chandrasekharan had only one opponent and it was the CPM. He added that CPM was behind the conspiracy to murder him.
