New Delhi: Aligarh Muslim University has suspended its classes till February 25 after a suspected Swine Flu death.

With more cases of swine flu being reported from AMU in the last 24 hours, the varsity authorities on Monday suspended all classes till February 25.

In Lucknow, the state capital of Uttar Pradesh, 7 new cases of swine flu have been reported, taking the total number of those infected by the disease to 69 in the state capital. The patients have been been admitted to different hospitals, Chief Medical Officer (CMO), SNS Yadav said.

"With this, a total of 69 swine flu patients have been found in Lucknow so far. They are being treated in different hospitals of the city", he said.

Three persons have died due to the disease in Lucknow. A retired Army officer died of H1N1 virus on January 9, while the wife of a retired jawan died on January 13 in the state capital. A person working in Merchant Navy also died due to swine flu.
